Hello, Elves, Dwarves, Hobbits, Wizards, Ninja, Other People, Geese, and Rabbit Extermination crew.
I know I haven't done a post on this blog for quite some time, but I thought I'd do a quick update.
This is for artists who try and make their drawings look like photographs.
For those of you who work off of digital pictures, and draw pictures to make them look like a photograph; here is a post for you. This is what I do to make the drawings come to life (other than draw in the first place).
Do the drawing first time around, then when you've finished, scan it into your computer. Try not to use a camera as it morphs the picture.
Than in a program that you can place two images in one document (GIMP will work and it's free, or you can use Photoshop if you have it), place both images together, the drawing over top of the picture.
Make the drawing the same size as the picture, and compare the images, your drawing to the original picture.
See what needs to be changed and then take the drawing and change it.Do this multiple times, until you're satisfied with your drawing.
I almost always do this (personally I only do it with people drawings).
There we go. That's all there is to it. Do that and you will see major changes in your drawing. Note that it may take more time than you would usually take to do a drawing, so never give up, and give it your all.
